Framework Programme 7 Regions of Knowledge UK and Yorkshire Information Days

The national contact point for the Regions of Knowledge programme in the UK is organising an information session in Glasgow to take place on the 17th September

2010.  The agenda is yet to be confirmed however Ciaran Dearle from the European

Commission will be attending.  The contact point has kindly agreed to run an additional session in Yorkshire on the 30th September in the afternoon.  Again, the

agenda is yet to be confirmed and further details for both information session will

follow.

Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) Post 2013

The Rural Affairs Network have commissioned a piece of work to explore an RDA position with regards to the Common Agricultural Policy post 2013 (CAP).    Specifically how CAP could support the agricultural sector in becoming more sustainable and competitive.   It is hoped the work will be completed by August and will enable RDAs to make some innovative and focused recommendations to the future development of the CAP, in particular ideas on the future delivery of the socio economic measures.

Interreg IVB North West Europe Programme Workshop 6th May 2010, Leeds

The UK National Contact Point recently held a project development workshop at Yorkshire Forward offices in Leeds. The event provided an opportunity for project applicants to gain valuable insight into the North West Europe Interreg Programme and how to ensure project ideas transform into successful transnational projects.
 
Whilst the workshop was open to all potential UK applicants, there was considerable representation from Yorkshire and Humber partners.
